"I know kung fu"
You've got to admit that a part from the dodging of bullets, running on walls and jumping off buildings, That was one of the most classic lines from the Matrix movie. The ability to learn any subject by having it downloaded into your brain.
This for me has been a cheat code that I "just so happend" to have come across. (A classic line used in the Bible to emphasize when God has had a hand in something) I digress...
In my consulting days, I use to hit the road a lot and literally traveled all 9 provinces in South Africa . It would be safe to say I drove a LOT. My beautiful wife (who was my girlfriend at the time) then recommend "Why not pass the time by listening to an audio book?"
That advice literally changed my life.
It opened up my world to a wealth of knowledge that I would have initially claimed I don't have the time to read. Now I know better and I make time to read.
Most of us like hearing Stories. It is very much a part of our human nature. And being a very music driven guy I find that listening to a voice on a subject that interests me is not boring at all. It often inspires me and gives me energy. Like a motivational talk on tap. Packed with gems that are just waiting to be uncovered.
So until they figure out how to make humans dodge bullets and run on walls. The least you can do is take advantage of the one Matrix tool we do have available to us.
So what will it be: "The Red pill or the Blue pill?" You decide.
Take Aways:
1. If you aren't already, start listening to audio books. You're missing out on a very valuable cheat code.
2. The hidden beauty of audio books is that you can do it while doing a mundane chore.
3. Audible.com is a great resource and worth their weight in gold.
4. Plug yourself in and enjoy!
5. Choose subjects you are interested in.
Question:
What would you download into your brain if you could do it Matrix Style?
